In the recently concluded election festival of Indian democracy, some such figures and candidates have come forward who can be anti-India and a threat to the division of the nation and national security. Among them, anti-national and anti-India people like Amritpal Singh, Engineer Rashid became MPs and on the other hand, nationalist and former police officer like Annamalai had to face defeat.

A separatist like Amritpal and a person who speaks against India from an open platform got 1830 votes through postal ballot, which means that 1830 government employees have voted in support of Khalistan and in the coming time, they may not even think once about betraying the country and carrying out a big conspiracy like the assassination of former Prime Minister of India Mrs. Indira Gandhi.

The recent incident at Chandigarh airport in which a female constable of CISF named Kulwinder Kaur attacked female MP Kangana Ranaut, it can be guessed from this that the Indian security forces have also been ambushed.

What is postal ballot, why is it important?

Postal ballot is a facility in which a voter casts his vote in person before going to the polling booth and it is sent to the election officials. This facility is available to government employees, army and paramilitary personnel, differently-abled and media personnel engaged in voting so that they do not miss their vote. Most of these votes are those which are cast by government employees.

Most of the postal ballot votes received by Engineer Rashid, Sarabjit Singh Khalsa and Amritpal Singh must have been of these government employees. In such a situation, it should be believed that these government employees voted for those who have separatist ideology. The inclination of such employees should be a matter of concern for the security agencies.

K. Annamalai's defeat

The defeat of BJP candidate and former IPS officer K. Annamalai from Coimbatore seat of Tamil Nadu is also worth noting. Annamalai, a former IPS officer of 2011 batch of Karnataka cadre, served as Superintendent of Police in Chikmagaluru and Udupi districts and left the police service while working as Deputy Commissioner of Police in Bengaluru (South). BJP had made him its candidate from Coimbatore seat, but he lost this seat.

One thing comes out from this that the situation and future of our country is not safe at the moment because we defeat Annamalai and make Amritpal win and make him an honorable MP of India. In whose hands are the people of India want to give the future of India, either the 4,04,430 people in Punjab who voted for Amritlal have forgotten the pain of 1984 and the era of terrorist Bhindranwala or they really support Khalistan.

Access to sensitive parliamentary documents

Being an MP, Amritpal Singh will now get access to sensitive documents related to the central government, which are not accessible to the general public. Such information can be used to influence public sentiments in the long run.

There is evidence that some MPs have shared their passwords with unauthorized persons, take the example of Mahua Moitra, who was expelled from the Lok Sabha in December last year. Despite multiple levels of security, such access to documents can be dangerous.

Conclusion

These victories should be seen as a warning to the nation. While maintaining the democratic process, there is a need to pay attention to those issues which allow separatist and extremist ideologies to flourish. Amritpal Singh's victory is also a clear indication that democracy, while being a pillar of freedom, can also be a double-edged sword for national security without vigilant security measures.

In the coming future, if these people betray the country and the nation and help countries like Pakistan or China to break into India's important documents or security, then there will be no problem in it. Every Indian should think about whom he is voting for and why? If by your vote, people like Amritpal Singh or Engineer Rashid become MPs and in the future, due to them, India faces any kind of threat or adverse effect, then you will be equally responsible for it.

In the end, I would just like to say that the country is paramount even over religion, politics, caste, community respect. If the country does not remain, then what will we do with caste, religion, politics and community? Please think about it!!
