Karl Marx gave a theory of Communism/ Socialism and slowly the idea got it's momentum. Many country and it's civilians got influenced by its idea and regime change took place. They took means of terror to got their demands accepted. Least were they interested in democratic system.
Country's where these ideas got momentum got dictators. Their soul idea was, "either you are with us or against us." Even in our country Bharat few people influenced by the idea started intimidating government.
They built a narrative and started saying government is fascist. They were soon able to capture the educational system of our country. Many young professors and some educational institute became centre point of such ideals.
Many organization surfaced with such names. One such organization was founded in Bharat on 21 September 2004 after merging two different communist group.
one was peoples war group and other was Maoist communist centre of India. And they chose weapons and means of extremism as a tool to influence the Indians mindset. The party was termed as terrorist organisation in year 2009. They posed serious threats to our country peace and population.
The threat was a serious that even our the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had to come out and say that Maoists are the single biggest internal security challenge of India. They are popularly referred to as left wings.
In 2013 government data as declared says as many as 76 of Indian district are directly effected by these communist extremism ideals. And as many as 106 are under ideological influence. States as such Telangana and Chattisgarh are still highly influenced.
They try to marginalize the gap between caste system and make it their tool to influence the masses. They use terror as in to make people get fearful of them. They oppose voting system and don't want people in their area of influence to participate in any such democratic programme. They destroy schools, and deprived people of the education.
In 2005 a magazine named 'frontline' printed a cover story named Bhamragad Taluka And explained how in Maharashtra Madia-Gond Janjaatis were facing the terror. They had a hierarchical set up of the way they run their organization. They use medium or extortion, weapon import and resources like mining and contract killing as a source for their money making schemes to fund themselves.
Their idea of working has been included by working style of Chinese Communist Revolution and Vietnam War. The government is trying their best to educate the general mass of those effected areas and trying their best to make use of their welfare schemes.
The Maoist try their best to stop the government welfares schemes so as to tell people that government don't want anything better for those people. And people those are highly uneducated falls into their narratives and trap and become part of their gangs.
Maoists use very latest military hardware's and weapons and technique. And our police system fall behind catching up to their tactics because of politics and ignorance. Maoists often set up traps for our military and police and our jawans gets killed.
Government need to address such issues and give our security personal free hand and make sure no politics is done on any level. Maoist even receive their funding through outside country from people and organization and government, who wish to destabilize our country and it's growth.
Government Need to take measures to cut down their source of funding and punish those behind them. Government need to establish program so as to bring awareness in those who followed the footprint of Maoism and induct them into our social structure.
Many who went on to their foot print fear that now even if they leave, government is going to punish us so we need to act accordingly so as to bring awareness and let them not to fear from repercussion.
In September 2009, an all-out offensive was launched by the Government of India's paramilitary forces and the state's police forces against the CPI (Maoist) is termed by the Indian media as the "Operation Green Hunt."
On 3 January 2013, government issued a statement that it is deploying 10,000 more central paramilitary personnel in Bastar, Odisha and some parts of Jharkhand.
On 8 June 2014, the Minister of Home Affairs officially approved the deployment of another 10,000 troops from the paramilitary forces to fight against the Maoists in Chhattisgarh.
The count of personnel from State Armed Police Forces involved in counter-Maoism operations in the Red corridor is estimated to number around.
Some of the noticeable heinous acts of Maoist organization are as follows On 12 June 2009, at least 29 members of the Indian Police were martyred in an ambush attack by Maoist teerorists in Rajnandgaon, 90 km (56 mi) from Raipur (India’s Chhattisgarh state).
On 15 February 2010, several of the terrorists of CPI (Maoist), all of whom are believed to be female, killed 24 personnel of the Eastern Frontier Rifles at Silda in West Bengal.
The attack was directed by Kishenji, and after the Maoist raid at the paramilitary camp, Kishenji addressed the news media saying, "We have not started it (violence) and we will not stop it first. Let us see whether the central government is honest about a solution and we will definitely co–operate.... This is the answer to Chidambaram's 'Operation Green Hunt' and unless the Centre stop this inhuman military operation, we are going to answer the Centre this way only."
On 6 April 2010, the Maoists ambushed and killed 75 paramilitary personnel and one constable from Chhattisgarh Police, who fell into a trap laid by the lurking Maoists.
The CPI (Maoist) described the incident as a "direct consequence" of the Operation Green Hunt stating (fake narrative) that "We have been surrounded by paramilitary battalions. They are setting fire to the forests and making Janjaatis (tribals) flee. In this situation, we have no other alternative (but to stage attacks)."
On 25 May 2013, the CPI (Maoist) ambushed a convoy of the Indian National Congress at Bastar, and killed 27 people including Mahendra Karma, Nand Kumar Patel and Vidya Charan Shkula.
While regretting the death of a few "innocent Congress [INC] functionaries" during the incident, they hold the Bharatiya Janata Party and Indian National Congress' policies which they
view as "anti-people" in nature, as directly responsible for the attack.
Later, 14 Maoist who had allegedly participated in the ambush were gunned down in Odisha by the Special Operation Group with the assistance of Border Security Force.
On 3 April 2021, twenty-two soldiers were killed in a Maoist ambush on the border of Bijapur and Sukma districts in southern Chhattisgarh. Those killed included 14 Chhattisgarh policemen and seven jawans of the CRPF, including six members of its elite COBRA unit, specially trained to take on Maoist guerillas.
On 4 January 2022, CPI (Maoist) attacked former BJP MLA of Manoharpur Gurucharan Nayak in West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand. Nayak escaped but the Maoists slit the throat of his two bodyguards, snatched their AK-47 rifles and fled. The two bodyguards died in the incident.
On 16 January, 2024, Naxals in Bijapur district attacked the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp in a three-hour raid. As many as 35 security personals were killed and more than 40 people were seriously injured. This is another unprecedented large-scale attack since 2010.
Through these citations we can easily understand how grave is the danger of this terrorist organization and how grave is it's internal threat to our country peace and and security. They pose a threat to our developmental programme. Always create hindrance for our welfares schemes.
Notably those areas influenced by such ideology are poorer. And these people who control the narratives their want them to remain so. That's why we need an all round schemes and it's successful implementation on ground level in order to surpass these threat and eliminate this for once and all.
Rightly said and referred as terrorist and extremist, these Maoist need to understand and start respecting our internal process and become integral part of our social structure and participate in democratic values in order to address their concern if they have any.
