The United Nations has long been accused of interfering in sovereign nations. In Bangladesh, its role was more than just diplomatic. It actively facilitated the overthrow of Sheikh Hasina’s government in August 2024.
Volker Türk, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, admitted that the UN pressured the Bangladesh Army not to intervene against anti-government protestors. These so-called protestors were not ordinary citizens but extremist elements linked to groups like Al-Qaeda and Hizb ut-Tahrir.
While the UN justified its actions as support for democracy, its real agenda was different. Deep state operatives, including Western intelligence agencies, worked behind the scenes. Their goal was to destabilize Hasina’s government, which resisted foreign control and upheld national interests.
Muhammad Yunus played a crucial role in this plot. His ties with George Soros and Hillary Clinton helped him gain UN backing. Yunus worked with the deep state to create an artificial crisis, portraying Hasina as a dictator to justify her removal.
Volker Türk’s
BBC interview revealed the UN’s strategy. By threatening Bangladesh’s military with exclusion from peacekeeping missions, it ensured no resistance to the coup. This was not just a UN move but a coordinated deep state effort.
The US deep state, known for orchestrating regime changes, had its own reasons. Hasina’s refusal to comply with Western economic interests made her a target. The deep state used UN influence to weaken her hold on power and install a puppet administration.
Yunus’s request for a UN fact-finding mission was another strategic move. The mission’s report painted a false narrative of human rights violations under Hasina while ignoring crimes committed by Islamist extremists who led the coup.
The February 2025 OHCHR
report played a key role. It was selectively used to justify the new regime’s legitimacy while hiding critical information. Chapter 6, which exposed jihadist violence and political assassinations, was deliberately suppressed by the new administration.
“Western media, controlled by deep state interests, amplified the false narrative. Reports ignored the brutal killings of police officers and religious minorities, focusing only on discrediting Hasina’s government.”
The deep state’s involvement went beyond propaganda. Financial networks linked to Soros funneled money to opposition groups in Bangladesh. These funds were used to mobilize extremist forces and stage violent protests against Hasina’s rule.
America’s sudden economic actions against Bangladesh further exposed the deep state’s role. The US imposed trade restrictions to cripple the economy, fueling public discontent. This economic pressure was another tool in the regime change operation.
Once the coup succeeded, Yunus was installed as the head of the interim government. His first actions aligned with deep state objectives—restructuring policies to benefit foreign corporations and suppressing nationalist voices.
The UN’s complicity in Hasina’s removal highlights a troubling reality. It has become a tool for powerful global elites to engineer political outcomes. The deep state and UN worked together to reshape Bangladesh’s leadership for their benefit.
Similar deep state tactics have been used in Libya, Ukraine, and Venezuela. The pattern is clear—any leader resisting foreign influence becomes a target.
Now, critical questions arise. Should Volker Türk be held accountable for aiding extremist forces? Should the deep state operatives involved in this coup face consequences for destabilizing Bangladesh?
The truth must come out. The UN and deep state’s role in Hasina’s overthrow is a clear warning—no government is safe from their influence. The world must wake up to this reality before another nation falls victim to their schemes.
