Regarding the Congress party, it is being said that this party has been captured by the Urban Naxalites. At some point of time, Prime Minister Modi had said in Parliament that the Congress was trapped in the clutches of 'Urban Naxal thinking'. He had said that the entire thinking of the Congress has been captured by Urban Naxals.

Actually, Urban Naxal is such a group in which people from different classes and work areas are included. Their only aim is to create instability in India and carry out various activities as per the instructions of foreign powers. Apart from this, providing intellectual shield to the Maoist terrorists sitting in the jungle.

Let me remind you of an incident in the year 2010 when the country's biggest Maoist terrorist attack took place at Tadmetla in Dantewada. In this Maoist terrorist attack, 76 security forces personnel had attained martyrdom. When the entire nation was mourning the sacrifice of these jawans, the attack was celebrated by Leftist students at a renowned university in the country's capital.

In this university, people of communist and Islamic ideology had celebrated the death anniversary of Islamic terrorist Afzal Guru. Apart from this, the way people of one ideology raised slogans in this university wishing for 'Bharat ke tukde', that too has been seen by all.

Apart from all these, let me remind you of some other incidents that the surrendered and arrested Maoists have openly taken the names of professors of various big universities of the country and some activists in front of the police. It also includes Maoist names like Podium Panda who has named alleged urban Naxalites like Nandini Sundar.

Now the biggest question arises that who are these people? How do they all work? After all, for what do they do all these things?

In fact, their nexus was exposed in front of the country in the year 2018 when urban Maoists (Urban Naxals) were arrested from all over the country. The accused were arrested from different places of the country in connection with the Bhima Koregaon riots.

Due to the possibility of contact with Maoists, they were called 'Urban Naxals'. In a way, for the first time such words were used openly for the alleged intellectuals of the city having links with the Maoists or people carrying out Maoist activities in the city itself.

The class living in the city who are engaged in Maoist activities by taking the form of journalists, poets, writers, intellectuals, human rights activists, cultural workers, feminists as their shield or are helping Maoists-Naxalites directly or indirectly, they only ' have been called 'Urban Naxal'.

It also includes that large section of the society, mainly called intellectuals, who have always been trying to show themselves as fair and neutral.

Everyone has seen Naxalbari and 'Naxalism' born from there, its shortcomings and misdeeds have also been understood and explained in detail. But the urban expansion of Naxalism-Maoism and its modus operandi has always been a mystery.

Although there have been many examples from time to time of how Maoism is expanding with the help of urban areas, but there has been no in-depth study or analysis on this subject.

This is the reason why when Maoist supporters were called "Urban Naxals" in the country, the "Me Too Urban Naxals" campaign run by the Left also included to some extent that part of the youth which is considered neutral.

The original outline of the Maoists' urban maze was drawn up in 2004. After the beginning of Maoist violence in India, Naxalism started spreading in the intellectual field from the 80s itself. Started capturing from educational institutions to social and influential institutions.

The Communist Party of India (Maoist) was formed in 2004 with the merger of the CPI (Marxist–Leninist), the People's War Group (PWG) and the Maoist Communist Centre. Ever since the formation of the CPI (Maoist), the leadership of Maoism has moved out of the jungle to the city. Once upon a time, the center and leadership of the Naxalites used to be in the forests, now they have come to the urban areas.

In 2004, a document of the CPI (Maoist) came to the fore, coming to the fore of this document revealed how enthusiastic the Maoist is for its urbanization and wants to expand itself to the metros. The ideology of Maoism is that of the Left, due to which help was provided to the Maoists at many levels in India as well by the allies of the Left on the global level.

The 2004 document "CPI (Maoist): Urban Perspective" discussed the Maoist expansion strategy in cities. It talked about trying to find the leadership of Naxalism in the cities that came out of the jungle.

The talks of trying to connect middle class employees, student class, working class, women, Dalit class, religious minorities and some eminent intellectual class of the society with their ideology and forming groups in the city also came out from that document.

The document included an emphasis on urban leadership and expertise in the urban sector, as well as organizing industrial workers and laborers, setting up separate fronts, and military activities. Since some of the cases are entangled with legal ramifications, leading institutions are mostly seen working with human rights and non-governmental organization faces.

The CPI (Maoist) party and all its affiliated organizations have been listed as terrorist organizations. Despite this, some leading organizations which support Naxalism are active in big and small cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Raipur, Ranchi, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Thiruvananthapuram and Pune.

If we now understand carefully, then it is clearly visible that how the leadership of Maoism has come out of the jungles and has now come to the cities. From supply of resources to guidance, everything is happening from the cities.

From time to time, the police have arrested such people from different areas of the country associated with the fields of art, education, literature, media, law, who have been directly involved in Naxalite activities.

When we talk about urban perspective of Maoism and urbanization of CPI (Maoist) then it is very important to know its origin. After all, how can a litterateur or a journalist sitting in the cities help the Naxalites? After all, how can a human rights activist raise the voice of Naxalites? For this we need to understand Maoism in India. To understand Maoism, it is necessary to understand Mao.

Mao refers to Mao-Tse-tung (Mao Zedong). A Communist leader of China who later became an absolute dictator. Leftists sitting in India try their best to adopt the decisions taken by Mao. India's Naxalism is an exact copy of Mao Zedong's strategy.

Different types of analysis are done on Urban Naxalism in India, but these activities are not linked with the activities of Mao Zedong. In fact, the Pad Yatra (The Long March) taken out by Mao Zedong in 1934 and his strategies during that time are being repeated in today's time.

In 1934, the Communist Army of China undertook a long march to escape from the established government. Like today's Maoists, this army was working against the government and waging a guerrilla war. This long march was led by Mao Zedong. In this journey of 370 days, Mao and the people of the communist army had crossed about 22 rivers and many mountains. Ultimately this march was successful.

The main reason for the success of this march was that Mao Zedong had included some people associated with him in different media groups and literary world of the country. They were used to inform the strategies to be made by the government and to give other information in some time interval. Information was conveyed to them through articles and literature. Similarly, Mao Zedong made extensive use of newspapers and literature throughout his march.

Now look carefully at the activities happening at present. Reputed newspapers of different languages of the country are delivered to the Maoists at regular intervals. Many types of magazines are published in this regard. Possessing and reading Maoist literature is definitely a crime, but in today's digital era, there is no dearth of means of communication.

At a time when there was no such thing as social media, Mao Zedong, with the help of the urbanization of the Left, presented his armed insurgency and guerrilla warfare to the world as a revolution. Even today, these so-called revolutionaries have immense resources and options of communication.

Urban Naxal is such a problem of the country which is making the country hollow from within. An Urban Naxal tries to cover up or justify the misdeeds committed by the Naxalites while living in the city. A lawyer gives legal advice, an educated journalist exchanges information, a poet sings and writes songs for the ideology of the Naxalites, a filmmaker makes films that are solace to the Naxalites, a litterateur writes about the incidents done by the Naxalites. He justifies it by telling the reasons behind it. There is also a group that invokes the human rights of Naxalites when security forces encounter them.

All these indirectly or directly propagate an ideology which promotes Maoism. It takes out the hatred towards Maoism and tries to create solace towards it.

But the question still remains that why do they do this? Some say that they do everything for money. but it's not like that. Yes it is absolutely true that there is a section among them who do all these activities for money but there are some who are completely brainwashed. Leftist thinkers (Urban Naxals) sitting as professors and activists in big universities of the country are slowly giving the 'sweet poison of communism' to their students.

Poor and middle class youth from small towns live in their center. They are brainwashed in such a way that they themselves do not know in which direction they are going. Not only this, the leftists sitting as social workers and professors from big universities to small tribal areas of areas like Bastar and Tripura not only brainwash their students and people of tribal society but also exploit them.

Several such incidents have come to the fore when Naxalites arrested and surrendered by the police have admitted to involvement in Maoist activities of such self-proclaimed intellectuals sitting in the cities, including professors of Delhi University and well-known social activists.

Although one thing is clearly visible that there has been a lot of awareness about Maoism and Leftism in the country, but the effort of that ecosystem is still going on to call Naxalites and Urban Naxalites as activists. They want that a campaign should be launched to protect those who help the Maoists from the police and the law. But the speed with which the urban form of Leftism and Naxalism is being exposed, the day is not far when the face of the urban Naxalites sitting in the country will be removed and come in front of everyone.
