In a series of decisive actions against the banned Maoist outfit, CPI-Maoist, police forces in Jharkhand and Telangana have demonstrated their unwavering commitment to maintaining law and order.

In Jharkhand, the Maoists attempted to instil fear among the local population by launching a poster campaign in the Sonua Thana area of West Singhbhum.

Under the cover of darkness, they placed banners and posters along the Sonua-Lonjo main road, urging support for the July 25 Jharkhand-Bihar Naxal bandh and announcing a martyr week starting July 28. These actions were designed to disrupt normalcy and rally local support for their dwindling cause.

However, the police acted swiftly and efficiently. Upon discovering the posters and banners, they promptly removed them, restoring a sense of security among the local residents.

The police's quick response was instrumental in preventing any potential escalation of fear and maintaining public confidence in the law enforcement agencies.

This incident followed a similar attempt by the Maoists on July 22, where they targeted the Jhumpra weekly market with anti-police and anti-paramilitary sentiments.

In both instances, the police’s proactive measures ensured that normalcy was quickly restored, thwarting the Maoists' attempts to spread their propaganda.

Meanwhile, in Telangana, a Maoist was killed in an encounter with police forces on the borders of Kothagudem and Mulugu districts. The incident occurred during combing operations conducted by Greyhounds forces and special party personnel at Damaratogu-Rangapuram in Gundala mandal.

The deceased Maoist, identified as Ashok of Buddharam village in Ghanpur mandal of Mulugu district, was neutralised in a fierce exchange of fire.

The successful operation in Telangana underscores the police’s relentless efforts to curb Maoist activities and ensure the safety of citizens. The elimination of Ashok, a key Maoist figure, is a significant blow to the Maoist movement, further diminishing their operational capabilities in the region.

These recent events highlight the professionalism and dedication of the police forces in combating Maoist threats. Their swift actions in Jharkhand and Telangana not only disrupted the Maoists' plans but also reinforced the state's commitment to maintaining peace and security.

As authorities continue to monitor and respond to Maoist activities, the safety and well-being of the residents remain their top priority, sending a clear message that any attempts to disrupt law and order will be met with resolute force.
