Security Forces Eliminate Three Women Maoists in Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur, Weapons Seized

Three women Maoists were killed in an exchange of fire following a major counter-terrorism operation on August 29, 2024, at a thick forest in Abujhmad, Narayanpur district. The "sustained operation" conducted jointly by the District Reserve Guard (DRG), Special Task Force (STF), and Border Security Force has made a clear impact on Maoist activities in the region, sending a strong message that terrorism will no longer be accepted.

The encounter started in the morning after receiving specific inputs about the presence of Maoists along the hilly areas of the Narayanpur-Kanker district border. The security forces launched a search operation around 8:00 AM to eliminate the terror elements that threaten peace in the region.

In the ensuing exchange of fire, security forces gunned down three heavily armed women Maoists. The killings underline the growing use of women in Maoist ranks, which only signifies their degeneration as a terror outfit. None of these, however, were close to the highly disciplined and brave security personnel in battle against such tactics.
