In order to uplift the youth of economically weaker backgrounds, the Chhattisgarh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, has launched the 'Chief Minister Higher Education Loan Interest Grant Scheme' to mitigate the sufferings of students in Maoist-affected areas.

Precisely, the scheme is testimony that this government is committed to providing quality education and better opportunities for students, which have been marginalised due to the Maoist menace.

This scheme has aimed to provide interest-free education loans to students for pursuing higher education in technical and vocational courses. It has targeted students from the Maoist-affected districts to ensure that their academic and professional goals are not defeated due to money constraints.

The government aims at making education accessible so that the influence of the Maoists is weakened, as these Maoists have greatly exploited the lack of opportunities to mislead and recruit youth.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has also been proactive, instructing the officials to take massive drives so that the benefits of this scheme reach the maximum number of eligible students.

This scheme is not restricted to the Maoist-affected areas; even students of the remaining other districts will be provided with this facility at a minimal interest rate of 1%, so that none of the deserving students are left behind.

The Technical Education Department will act as the nodal agency for the implementation of the scheme. It shall look after the disbursement of loans for 35 technical and vocational courses at diploma, graduate, and postgraduate levels.

Each eligible student shall get a loan of up to ₹4 lakh, which is quite substantial help on their journey of education.

This is a strong message from the Chhattisgarh government, as it guarantees a future that may stand out from violence and bloodbaths.

The scheme may not only empower youths with what they need to succeed, but also strike a huge blow against the Maoist ideology-which thrives on poverty and lack of opportunity.

With such progressive steps, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai's administration continues by making the development of future generations of Chhattisgarh and their welfare one of the priorities so that they become capable enough to lead the state towards a brighter and more prosperous future.
